So this is Violet City, huh? I've only been to the Pokémon Center and already it looks a lot more interesting than Cherrygrove City was.

[He's mostly referring to the architecture. He's never seen anything like it before. Not that you'd know from the way he speaks.]Well, while my Pokémon rest I think I'm going to go ( Read more... )

Your pokémon worked really hard on the way to Violet, I'm sure they will enjoy their moment of rest and quiet.

About Violet, there is a library in the school if you are interested in learning a bit more about pokémon or reading some literature typical of this place.

Yep, they've definitely earned it.

A library, eh? I'll definitely be checking that out, then.

I'm also letting my pokémon take a day off now that we are in a city.

There are all kinds of books so it can be anything from interesting to slightly unsettling.

[Ed's walking out of the PokeMart. He went in to ask for a job, because he's dirt poor now. Then he spots Roy.]

You made it here fast.

Of course we did. We had an experienced trainer and my Fire-types along for the ride.

[Oh hey look, it's Aurum the Pikachu! He's comin' up to meet you General.]

Pikachu!

[Ed just ignores this.]

Why aren't I surprised? Who's the other trainer?

[Roy just gives a nod to the Pikachu.]

Lion Ushiromiya. Do you know...them?

[Damn ambiguous genders.]

That's because there's more stuff to do here.

[Whoa, it's another one. Not that Roy is complaining, though. After all, he could get used to uniforms like that.]

It certainly looks it. And it must be a nice place for you to favor it.

I'll agree with you on that, Violet City is a bit more interesting than Cherrygrove. If you have the chance to take a look at it, it has an interesting tower. [a pause.] I haven't challenged the gym leader in this town yet, but I do plan on it while I'm here. Perhaps we could battle each other before we face off against the leader?

The one on the north end of town? I could see it on the skyline as I entered the city.

I might be up for that. How strong is your team?

[he nods.] That would be the one, yes.

Three of them are around the twenties. And my last one is.... slowly making it's way up.

That's around where my team's at. My strongest is near 30.

Thank you once again for your assistance in reaching Violet City. Having so many more experienced trainers along made the trip quite a bit easier than it could have been.

It was my pleasure, and the least I could do. If one has talents, one should make the best use of them he can.

I doubt that you would have had a problem continuing on alone once the problem with the Shedinja was taken care of, but you stayed with us while a lesser man might've broken his word and gone his own way. That is worth some praise in my opinion.

It's a soldier's sense of duty. Something engraved deep into my psyche.
