[The feed has been showing a battle for a few minutes now. Roy is challenging Chuck, and his Fearow, Queen, has so far taken out both Chuck's Hitmonlee and his Hitmonchan. Unfortunately, Chuck's Poliwrath used that lovely Mind Reader + DynamicPunch combo to confuse Queen. Roy's response?]

U-Turn!

I agree with him, you should just stay out on that island for a while.

Oh, you'd just love that, wouldn't you? It'd give you free reign.

Well, that's too bad, because that's not happening.

You keep saying that. Do you seriously think that I haven't burned Johto down yet just because you're around?

Do you honestly think I'm that egotistical?

[Well, given how you present yourself, Roy...]

I can tell that you don't have a reason to do so, which is why you aren't. But don't think for a second that I'll ever buy the claim that you wouldn't if the right reason came along.

An impressive battle. Chuck's an...enthusiastic contender.

If I may, I'm curious as to why you decided to attach U-turn to your Fearow. It's not a move that's very effective against the kind of foes a Flying-type usually faces.

Lack of options was one reason. Besides, it's good to throw curve balls at my opponents every now and then. I wouldn't want to be too predictable.

[...Maybe someday he'll learn that you don't always have to respond with a video...]

[Anyway! Archer wasn't just watching that battle, he was taking meticulous notes! So, one of the Gyms specializes in Fighting-types. Birds (Flying-types, right?) are good against that. This is good; he has a bat and a bird. It also serves to show him just what Pokémon Mustang has collected. The... flaming chicken looks slightly more dangerous than the... other bird.]

[After all, he doesn't want to be unprepared when he does face Mustang in battle! ...What do you mean that won't happen he'll make it happen.]

Another badge in such a short amount of time? I'm impressed.

[That's as sarcastic as usual, sorry.]

Yes, well, I'm afraid anything else would be uncharacteristic of me.

[Roy does not care about your sarcasm, Archer. Or at least he tries to give off that impression.]

That depends on the kind of training.
