I'm assuming that you're speaking figuratively, and not about someone getting physically uglier as time goes on.
I'm not sure what to say other than if it bothers you, it should be worth discussing if you're both friends. If it seems like you're overstepping boundaries in that friendship by saying something, then do so cautiously.
That's a really fair criticism. In the past there have been a number of times where that has been absolutely true, as loathe as I am to admit it.
I can say I'm working on it, but that doesn't really mean anything, does it? Its one of those things I'm trying to change about myself. Let my actions show you if that actually happens.
Actually, I wanted to say one more thing to this: - 36 lbs lost since January 1st - quit smoking - moved to CT to be closer to NYC and the publishing industry.
So, yeah, that's still a fair criticism, but a lot less so than in the past. And not to be pedantic, but there shouldn't be a comma after "though" in your post.
