Gosh, I've been away from blogging for quite a while, to think it's the sembreak pa! Well, I've actually been bustling around trying to complete my requirements for graduate studies. So far, I've checked out about eight school in the US and Canada, and I'm still getting more info from friends who've already made the jump abroad ( Read more... )

graduate schools in the US?

im looking at them too - pero mine is psych related (duh lexi.. :P) hehe.. im wondering.. nakakita ka na ba ng magagandang scholarships.. or do u have ideas/options on how you can pay for the graduate school tuition as an international student?

dun ako hirap eh.. di ko alam kung pano ko aabuting ang tuition.. :P

if you apply as an assistant to a professor, and that prof is loaded with grants, for sure some of that cash will filter down to you. you can also apply as a teaching assistant or lab instructor to help pay for your tuition ( ... )

for TA's, you have to ask the department if there are openings for teaching. some schools, on the other hand, will even require you to teach (pero of course may bayad din yun).

RA's, sa professor na yun. go to the faculty page ng site, look at the profs then see if they are looking for any assistants.

if i'm right, slightly mas malaki ang pay ng RA's.
