私の名前わ鄧鏞華です!is not correct.. It should be 私の名前は鄧鏞華です! In this sentence, "は" is pronounced as "wa". It's other pronunciation is "ha".

To be honest, this sentence sounds a bit awkward to me, bec it's a direct translation from English.. ie "My name is XXX".

"こんにちわ!鄧鏞華です!" usually suffices as a simple introduction. The japanese language is not as liberal in its use of "私" as English uses "I".

Yeah I knew that it was は but the software wouldnt surface it whenever I type 'wa'... I guess I have to intuitively type 'ha' everytime I intend to use a は.

Thanks for the tip. I think '私の名前は...' is the formal version I'm going to be taught in the classes.

I agree... usually I be mildly polite using:

はじめまして。XXXです。(think a bow adds a bonus when meet for the first time)

It works for me the other day I met up with a Japanese guy from Trevvy! :P
