Dear Colin,
It's dawn every forty minutes on Talosia. I took a photo from the TARDIS door at 1/800th of a second and the stars still blurred. Gravity is weird here; we have to wear things like focused levitation charms to walk around. They glow. I think they'd made good Halloween costumes.
There's a monument here, to the Time War. Each time it's directly opposite the sun, it fires an encoding beam into the solar winds, writing a name in radiation that ripples on out into the universe forever. It's dawn every forty minutes, but the Doctor says the sun will go out before it runs out of names.
I think I'm coming home soon.
