here's a tip, open your computer up and figure out what kinda ram you have before you buy new ram, saves on time, money and braincells

well, i went to office depot and got the part. i only have 2 slots in the notebook, and they're both full already... dell puts two 128MB modules in their computers instead of one 256MB. i dont know if that's standard or what, but i'm outraged lol

i'll be off work at 12 tonight, i can help ya out with that no sweat, used to tell old grannies how to do that all night over the telephone. ;) i'll give ya a ring if you haven't gotten it fixed by then. upgrading RAM will definitely get you results.. i'd upgrade that first before getting a better video card.

thanks, i think i got it just now. lol i called dell tech support. turns out they put in two 128MB modules instead of one 256MB. I wish someone would've let me know that... pisses me off cuz now i can only have 384MB instead of my aspiration of 512MB.

384 should still be enough though huh?
