i have lots of ideas that i think would make great books, movies, or manifestos. but i can't seem to write them down, either because i forget before i get paper, or the ideas are so complex that there's not even a place to start writing them down. this problem frustrates me alot.

I like your idea about religions...You are exactly right! All religions can technically be argued to have been designed at some point as control factors or to explain why things are true. Which religion is true? Is there truth in these religions? Personally I take a Deistic approach to religion (though technically I am Catholic), believing that there is truth in all religions, since they all have the same moral teachings- love of neighbor, don't murder, etc. Whatever "God" exists, in my opinion, has identified itself to all cultures in a different way that they would understand, so perhaps the Hindus understood a polytheistic religion whereas Muslims, Jews, and Christians have better understood the Abrahamic religion...if that makes any sense at all...LOL!

it does make sense.

hinduism is interesting because it has evolved over such a long time. the basic idea is monistic (that everything is one substance "Brahman"), but the gods were created as ways for us to realize that everything (gods, people, everything) is of the same substance. of course, people get caught up in the worship of gods and images without getting the true meaning of the texts they claim to get their salvation from.
