From the cliff above, the knight in golden armor surveyed the battle raging below. Light's forces had proven to be a vast improvement from Figaro; no vampire fodder these. Still, the knights of Hyrule were putting up more than enough of a fight.
Delita had tracked Ovelia to Hyrule's outskirts; she and her companion had just entered the border when he had set upon them. The wayward princess had taken shelter in a Hyrulian outpost, whose knights had taken the advance of Delita's troops as a sign of invasion and mounted their defense. A spokesman at Delita's request had explained to them that they were after the girl and the girl alone, but the knights of Hyrule were loathe to surrender her. Their valor would be the death of them.
The battering ram broke through the fortress doors, and Delita's soldiers rushed into the outpost. The clang of steel and cries of battle emerged as Delita slipped to the back of the fortress, a coil of rope in his hands. The battle itself was nothing more than a distraction. Only a fool would launch a full-scale assault to kidnap a single girl; he would accomplish with his own hands what another man might do with an army.
The pieces were in place. All that was left now was to make his move.
