Does anyone else feel bad for Kaavya Viswanathan?

Well, I do. Don't get me wrong. It's obvious she plagiarized and her publisher was right to pull the book from the shelves. Seriously, the evidence is indisputable since there are 24 passages in question and a 14-word phrase that is verbatim from McCafferty's Sloppy Firsts. I feel the EXACT same way about all of this.
I feel embarassed for the girl!
I am mortified for her!

I think that this has gotten really out of hand and that we all really need to just stop focusing on it. We all make mistakes, can't we move on?
I would still buy something of hers.

The worst thing is, that indian parents always compare their children..what are they going to be saying to her family now?
I think that she has been ridiculed enough by the press by everyone and it needs to just die down.

Yea. The thing is that she admitted she made a fallacy. She's not defending herself, so what's the point in knocking her down?

Why would you buy something of hers when you would probably already have a book that says the same thing?
