This week has been rough. Really rough. I had to work all weekend, so I haven't had a day off since weekend before last. Last Saturday I had to work a 13.5 hour day with no real break. Sunday wasn't too bad, just two assignments. But this week has been busy as fuck and my boss is totally incompetent

Those are the people we're left with when broke-ass newspapers decide the best remedy to our problem is to fire the talented people, because they make the most money.

I have one of those consistently inconsistent people I deal with constantly. It's maddening.

Also, we're doing the new computer system this week, and I'm one of the technical helpers/trainers/whatever. My brain is mush I've got so much to do at work right now, on top of my regular job. Extra pay? HELL NO. Hopefully I'll get some comp time though.

Ok, that was my rant for the moment :)

On the bright side, we've got a big story we're working on and I have some ideas for the presentation I'm really excited about. I'm going to attempt my first illustration...and I have no idea what I'm doing, really. Well, kinda.

I'd like to add, without someone turning into a pissing contest as everyone at the Sun Herald seems to love to do, that I worked a densely packed 10 hours yesterday, until 1 a.m., and another 12 hours today. I almost forgot to eat. Six days weeks are not my favorite.

Damn, I thought this time of year was supposed to be downtime. FUCK.

I feel ya. Today is my first day off since the Monday before last. Last Saturday is when I had the 13.5 hour day and then Monday I worked 10 hours with no break. It's just overall been a shitty week. But I'm Hattiesburg today and I feel pretty good:)
