Yunho doesn't know what to feel.
It's weird enough that there are two guys clinging on to each side of his arms. But both guys literally sharing the same face can be baffling to most, like himself, if he's being really honest. So he sighs, because really, it's all he could do ever since Youngdal invited himself to his and Jaejoong's date. What makes it worse is that Jaejoong doesn't even seem to mind. "Come on, Yunhoyah. It would totally be fun!" his boyfriend said.
It will not be.
It's a lie. A bait to trap him in Youngdal's sadistic hands. Out of all the days he could be a wimp, it just has to be this day. In his defense, though, Jaejoong's pout is his weakness and the man just knows how to use it to his advantage.
"Don't look too sad, Yunnie." said Jaejoong, loosening his hold on his arm to intertwine their fingers.
Beside him, Youngdal snorts and he could already tell what's going to come out of his boyfriend's foul-mouthed twin brother's mouth. "Right, Yunnie..." Youngdal drawls. Yunho could only groan when the older man grips on his arm a little too tightly. "I'm here to make your day fantastic!"
Not caring anymore, he retorts, "You mean the opposite. Don't take out your anger on us because Bongie ditched you for soccer practice."
That seems to have done it. The stinging pain on his arm caused by Youngdal's punch is nothing compared to his happiness when the twin finally leaves them alone, walking steps ahead of them.
"Yunhoyah..."
He glances at Jaejoong and gives him a soft peck on the lips. "I hope I'm sorry, but I'm really not. Youngdal's mission in life is to torture me and I cannot let that happen every single time."
"You know he doesn't want to be the third wheel either."
"I know." He sighs for what seems to be the hundredth time today. "But Jaejoongie, you have to understand that he hates me."
"No he doesn't." Jaejoong backs the statement up with a look of incredulity.
"Sure he does. Ever since he met me he's done nothing but make fun of me and put me in difficult situations."
"He just likes teasing you because you can be a sore loser sometimes." He could only gape as Jaejoong detaches his hand from his and runs towards his twin brother.
He is definitely not a sore loser.
Okay, well, so maybe he kind of is. But that's all Youngdal's fault. It's his fault that Jaejoong is completely ignoring him. It's his fault that their date will not go well as planned. That's alright, the optimistic side of him thinks, there's always a next time.
Yunho keeps on walking closely behind the twins who seem to be in a discussion. He doesn't even bother eavesdropping because what's the point? It's only going to anger Jaejoong. The man is already pissed enough at him. If the pair wants their conversation to be heard, they wouldn't be talking so softly that their voices are barely above a whisper. Where are they going anyway? They've been walking aimlessly for quite some time now and he's itching to do something, anything. Admittedly, Yunho doesn't have a plan for their date. He just wanted to go out with Jaejoong. His plan was to him wherever he wants to be taken to.
An idea has been plaguing him although he doesn't know what kind of reaction it would get. That, though, changes because as soon as he pitches the said idea of going to Bonggun's soccer practice instead, he is attacked with a kiss on the cheek courtesy of Youngdal, much to his surprise.
"We might as well make it a double date." he explains to Jaejoong who is finally beside him again, their hands clasped together. "We can bring some food so it'd be like a picnic or something."
"That's nice, baby." says Jaejoong. He earns a kiss on the lips for his trouble.
"Well," He glances at an obviously excited Youngdal who is patiently queuing for food while he and Jaejoong occupy a table. They have agreed on fast food as Bonggun likes her food greasy. "He could have just gone there himself?"
Jaejoong shakes his head. He smiles when the rather pale man plays with his fingers. "No can do. He is not allowed to go to any of Bongie's practices because she thinks he's a distraction. Can't blame her."
"Then why are we allowed to go there now?"
"Because we're both there to keep him in check." A chuckle escapes Jaejoong's lips. "Good thing you suggested it when we're out of the house or else Youngdal would bring his Bongie banner with him."
Yunho blinks. "It's that bad?"
"You'll see later."
And sees, he does. He wishes it's Youngdal's fanboy tendencies towards his girlfriend he's seeing, not their mother marching towards them. The pair hisses at the sight. "What are you doing here, mom?" Youngdal is the first one to speak, surprise evident in his tone. None of them are expecting to see her at Bonggun's university, of all places. Jaejoong grips on his hand tighter. Yunho's sure it's going to fall off anytime soon, but he doesn't say anything. It's not a secret that Mrs. Kim dislikes him. She made sure to tell him so the first time Jaejoong introduced them to each other. Since that unpleasant meeting, he avoided her like a plague.
"Ah, my sons." she smiles, pointedly ignoring Yunho's existence. "I dropped off some tonic I bought for Bonggun."
Youngdal groans. "How many times are we going to tell you she doesn't need a fertility tonic?! Not because we have sex doesn't mean we want babies. Not now, at least. She's still in college! Her studies and soccer are the things she need to focus on right now." Yunho could tell they've had this conversation one too many times already. "I respect what she wants, mom. You said you like her so you should at least do the same."
Her smile falters, but she doesn't back down. "Youngdal, son, I just want grandkids. You're the only one in the family who can give us that." Yunho winces at the glare she directs at him and Jaejoong both.
"Mom-" Jaejoong starts only to be cut off by the older twin who shakes his head at him.
"Not your fight, Joongie." he says. "Never was. It should never be." Youngdal shifts his attention back to their mother whose mood seems to be turning more sour by the second. "With all due respect, mom, leave us alone. Bongie and I will have a baby when it's the right time. And stop blaming Jaejoong and Yunho for anything and everything. It's not their fault you're narrow-minded and uncreative enough to not think they could adopt. Now if you could excuse us, we are starving. I bet my girlfriend is, too. If our food is cold by the time we could actually eat it, you're going to have to wait for ten more years to have a grandchild."
Yunho is snapped back to reality when Jaejoong tugs on his hand and Mrs. Kim long gone. "Youngdal ran off to Bongie first." Jaejoong explains. "He probably needed a hug. He's not usually that rude to mom. I'm sorry she said what she said. I-"
"Enough." he replies, effectively cutting Jaejoong off. He examines his face and sighs when Jaejoong's eyes glisten with unshed tears. "I know what you're thinking. It's too early for us to be thinking of kids. True, but I honestly am not dismissing the thought. We will get there someday, Jaejoongah. Don't think that the mention of kids scare me just because I don't talk about it."
"I know, Yunho. I just..." Jaejoong mumbles against his chest, his arms wrapped around his waist tightly. "I just wish she stops talking about the same thing over and over again."
He presses a kiss atop the shorter man's head. "Jaejoong, I know we haven't been together for that long, but I'm going to make sure this works. I really want this. I want us." A smile spreads across his face when he feels soft lips against his neck.
"Exactly my thoughts, my butterfly princess."
"Fairy princess." Yunho corrects.
Jaejoong snorts.
