Utah is yet another example of how Division I-A football (excuse me, the "FCS Subdivision") really only comprises about 60 teams, not the 119 they claim. It is clear that even going undefeated is not enough to give you a shot at the title if you're not in a BCS conference, and this is just another example (it's the second time for Utah alone). To me, that means you're not really playing in the same division since it is not possible for you to win the title of that division no matter how good you are.
I bet you still get more money than if you were dominating a lower division though, so whatever.
