i swear this to be a true and accurate rendition of the story as i remember it

so i just finished book 1 of the faerie queene, which for those of you who aren't giant nerds is a 16th century epic poem. it was kickass and totally ridiculous. to share how ridiculous it was with you, i will now write up a plot summary, as i remember it. this will probably be highly inaccurate, inasmuch as i read it all in short bursts over a ( Read more... )

i don't know how much of a market for cliff notes there are anymore though, what with the internet and all. plus, my summary is highly inaccurate.

I have also read this poem and can vouch for this entry's accuracy and veracity. Verily.

I loved Britomart because a) her name is awesome, seriously, let's go down to the brit-o-mart and buy some brits and b) I'm a sucker for the eowyn, joan of arc, chick but not really a chick because look I've got a sword! type
