$7.50 a pack?

I think this is ridiculous: NYC just raised its tax on cigarettes, bringing the price per pack up to $7.50. What other industry is taxed like that? It is a disgrace the way our government abuses tobacco companies. Big tobacco has become one of this country's favorite scapegoat. Coffers empty? Need to meet budget limits? Why not steal money
