[voicemail] 19th June - lunchtimeisitablurredJune 20 2011, 13:26:18 UTC
So the two of us went on that date. We had a little too much to drink and I hit you a little harder than I meant to. Clark Kent doesn't handle his alcohol that well.
I still need space, I'm sure you do too. We'll talk soon.
[Pinned to his other batsuit - on three seperate post-its]isitablurredJune 20 2011, 14:52:24 UTC
Note 1: It certainly would be shocking, considering I legitimately punched you in the face for talking about Lois. And by the way, that's true.
Note 2: You know, in all my years of keeping secrets, I've learned that the best lies are a form of the truth. But you'd know all about that, wouldn't you?
Note 3: I won't tell anyone else. If Kusaragi Yako mentions it to you, that's what I said. She's extremely perceptive.
[notes are very, very slowly torn up, and he's speaking aloud again:]kingofrooksJune 20 2011, 14:58:02 UTC
Please, Kent, if you dealt this damage to me just by a punch, you're far more dangerous than you look. You're a shit liar. How many people know what your abilities are, here?
[ Pause. ]
If she does, I'll say you hallucinated it. Have fun.
[More voicemail - and a note, ten minutes later]isitablurredJune 20 2011, 15:05:24 UTC
Voicemail: Maybe I got lucky. As terrible a liar as I am, there's more to it than that.
Note: The ones I've told, or the ones who have Superman comic books in their realities; the ones that know my identity because they grew up knowing it?
I told one person about one of my powers, because they intended to endanger themselves to protect me.
Everyone else knows Superman. Members of the Avengers from alternate worlds, and from worlds without Superman at all. People who've read about me in comic books, movies.
Reality bleeds through, and I'm more than aware that my identity is being kept by fluke. I don't need you to remind me.
I still need space, I'm sure you do too. We'll talk soon.

For a man who wants his space, you're talking a lot.
