[Well crap. That doesn't bode well. Merlin hesitates for a moment before nodding.]
Alright, I'll be there soon. [And as he shuts the PCD off, Arthur just might manage to hear Merlin mutter off to the side--] No Bran, you're not coming this time.
[He's absentmindedly tossing pebbles into the lake as he waits for Merlin there, trying to figure out how to go about this all. Arthur would take it all as a practical joke if it weren't for the fact that so many people were absolutely insistent on Merlin being a wizard. If that was the truth...Well. He wasn't sure yet.]

It's not a secret if it's information you don't need to have.
But I speak of myself there. As for Merlin, he's told me the policy on magic in Camelot. If you feared for your life, who would you tell? If your secret could get your friends killed, I bet you wouldn't tell a soul.
We know he has magic here because most of us have grown up listening to legends. He had no choice here, we all knew who he was the moment he told us his name.
By the way, in said stories you were a fair and merciful leader. Which is how I know you're not going to drive Merlin off for having lied to you.
Or so it seems. But you should keep in mind you may not be from the same timepoint, even if you're from the same world. ...If that makes any sense to you.
By the way, did he tell you where he was hiding all this time?

[He sighs.]
...No. I'm not going to drive him off, but I do not intend on letting him lie to me any further.

I assume he was just busy. Either way, there are more important things to be worried about.
