Other characters: Amy, Sarah (I'm officially dropping Parker if Robb gets in)
Character name: Robb Stark
Age: 18
Canon: A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones (for age purposes, he's from the show, but I'm using the books to flesh out his history and personality)
Canon point: After being declared King in the North.
Totem: The message he received saying that his father was dead. During a fissure, the ink will be smeared too badly to be legible.
Weapons: A broadsword and a dagger.
Abilities/powers: Robb is well-trained and talented in the arts of medieval warfare. He can sword-fight and shoot arrows, both on foot and from horseback.
(vague-as-possible spoilers:) There are implications that Robb is a warg, or skinchanger, someone with the ability to possess and control animals. Thus far, he hasn't realized it, and the ability has likely only manifested unconsciously as dreams from the perspective of the direwolf he's bonded with, Grey Wind. In Limbo, he may occasionally dream about what Grey Wind is experiencing back in reality (mainly running around the woods hunting), but that would be about it.
Location: Robb will be bringing the
godswood of Winterfell with him. The godswood is a grove of trees surrounded by high moss-covered stone walls. The trees are densely packed together, creating the sense of a roof overhead, and though it's usually chilly in Winterfell, the godswood is warmed by several pools formed by hot underground springs. At the center of the godswood is a weirwood (or heart tree), a tall white tree with red five-pointed leaves and a
face carved into the trunk. The tree's sap is red as well, giving the face the appearance of weeping blood.
Personality: Robb is, in many ways, his father's son. It was from his father that he learned to be unflinchingly honorable, no matter the circumstances or cost. Though he lives in a world where most people's morality is grey at best, and deceit and manipulation are what many nobles choose to live by, Robb stubbornly lives by the chivalric principles his father taught him. He would never harm an innocent, nor would he harm a woman or child, except in self-defense or the defense of an innocent. He would never do anything underhanded, cowardly, or cruel, nor would he ever do anything that could be perceived as shameful. He would never be deliberately unjust. When faced with a difficult decision, he will do what he believes to be right, choosing morality over pragmatism every time.
However, there is one thing more important to him than his honor: family comes above all. Robb is very protective of his crippled brother Bran, and shows a signs of protectiveness to his other siblings as well. He loves his mother greatly, and in times of high stress, he relies on her for emotional support. He looks up to his father, and aspires to be the sort of man Lord Eddard is, and to make him proud. And his love of his family extends beyond his full blood relatives. Robb is the most open of the Starks, fully willing to embrace both his half-brother Jon Snow and his father's ward Theon as true brothers. Though it's highly unorthodox for bastard children of nobles to be raised alongside their trueborn siblings, Robb refuses to ever treat Jon like anything less than a Stark. Robb is willing to give his love, friendship, and respect to anyone who he feels deserves it. Of course, there is honor tied up in Robb's relationship with his family as well: as a Stark of Winterfell, one of the ruling families of Westeros, any slight or threat to, or attack on any Stark is a personal affront to Robb. Anything that damages the honor of the household damages his own honor. He can be quite defensive about his House and being a Stark, even to Theon.
Robb's father was very friendly with his soldiers, something that Robb picked up from him. Every night, Lord Eddard would invite a different member of the household guard to dine with him, leading to a sense of kinship amongst the northerners who serve House Stark. This is the sort of leader Robb aspires to be, and he usually succeeds in being well-mannered to his subordinates. He's also very open, sometimes to a fault. He's honest, and wears his heart on his sleeve. In the heat of the moment, he is prone to saying exactly what's on his mind without thinking it through first. He's warm and friendly, more liberal with hugs than one might expect, laughing and joking when he's in a good mood, weeping when he's distraught, and shouting when he's angry.
Though he can be cautious, and wary of making potentially life-altering decisions, when given the right impetus he can make those decisions without putting a lot of thought into them, sometimes failing to think through the ramifications of his actions. He's also stubborn, and never lightly changes his mind once he's set it to something.
Robb is rather naive when it comes to people. He is quick to see the good in people, and to assume that because he is honorable and upstanding, others are the same. Until he sees for himself that someone is dishonorable, he tends to misconstrue their intentions and motivations, failing to see ulterior motives and potential treachery. This sometimes leads him to overlook certain aspects of others' personalities, believing them to be less complex or less driven by selfish ideals or desires than they really are.
None of this, however, prevents Robb from being a good war leader. He's level-headed and good at strategizing without over-thinking things. In war, he's willing to use subterfuge to trick his enemies into underestimating or otherwise misjudging him. He also gains a reputation for fearlessness. He refuses to let anyone else perform duties that he believes to be his: he is the face of the North and face of the rebellion that he's leading, and though willing to take advice from others, he wants to speak and think for himself. He always leads his men from the front, and displays great courage in battle.
Robb has a very realistic sense of the situation he's in and what he has to overcome. He's been thrust into the position of a war leader with no real experience, and though his father taught him well, Robb is learning as he goes along. He feels the weight of lordship, and later kingship, burdensome, and is constantly questioning the rights and wrongs of the issues he finds himself faced with, and after first declaring war even admits to being afraid. He knows that ruling is a difficult task, not something to revel in or be taken lightly. The climate of the North is such that preparedness and taking one's duties seriously are the difference between life and death in wintertime, and Robb is a northerner through and through. Open and friendly he may be, but he is not frivolous or flighty: he knows a serious situation when he sees one and knows not to make light of it.
In Westeros, he's old enough to be considered an adult, and he knows he must behave as one or risk losing the respect of his followers and the fear of his enemies. He doesn't allow himself to show any weakness in front of anyone but those he knows and trusts completely. When he's reunited with his mother, he doesn't even embrace her until they're alone, even though he wants to. He allows himself no room for faults or mistakes.
Though he is much younger than most of the people he commands, Robb expects to be deferred to. He's prone to getting defensive when someone calls him a boy, and he reprimands his followers - sometimes harshly - when they patronize him or question his authority in any way. He's not afraid to be tough to his own men, and he never backs down in front of them, but he's fair as well, giving them the opportunity for second chances unless they've crossed a totally unforgivable line. And as Tyrion Lannister puts it, Robb "has a certain belligerence." To those he dislikes, he can be pushy and suspicious, though never openly disrespectful.
History: Robb is the eldest son and heir of Lord Eddard of House Stark and his wife, Lady Catelyn. He was born during Robert's Rebellion, a civil war that uprooted the Targaryen dynasty and put Lord Eddard's best friend Robert Baratheon on the iron throne of Westeros. Robert was originally supposed to marry Eddard's sister Lyanna, but she died during the war. Instead, Robert married Cersei Lannister, a daughter of the most financially powerful House in Westeros, twin sister of famed knight Jamie Lannister and older sister of Tyrion Lannister.
The Starks are descended from the ancient line of northern kings, and reside at their ancestral seat of Winterfell. Robb was raised there, alongside his half-brother Jon Snow, and his younger siblings: sisters Sansa and Arya, and brothers Bran and Rickon. As the oldest son, Robb was given all the training required to one day assume his father's titles and duties.
After the King's Hand (second-in-command) died, King Robert asked Eddard to be the new Hand. Eddard accepted, leaving Robb to rule Winterfell while he was gone. Robb also had to care for his little brother Bran, who was crippled in what everyone - except Lady Catelyn - believed was an accident. After an assassin tried to kill Bran, Catelyn went south to warn Eddard that she believed the Lannisters to be behind the attempt on Bran's life. On her return journey, Catelyn abducted Tyrion Lannister, prompting his House to raise arms. Not long after this, King Robert was killed in a hunting accident, and Queen Cersei and her son, the newly-crowned King Joffrey, took Eddard prisoner.
His father's imprisonment, and King Joffrey's demands that Robb proclaim his father a traitor and swear fealty to Joffrey, prompted Robb to call up his father's bannermen and march south to wage war on the Lannisters. He won a decisive victory over the Lannister forces and captured Jaime Lannister. The northerners received word that Eddard had been executed at Joffrey's behest, and immediately after they decided to secede and once again make the North an independent kingdom, as it had been in the days before the Targaryens conquered Westeros, and they declared Robb their King.

1st person sample: I have never never seen towers so high, nor streets appointed as these are, and the lights here burn far brighter and more steadily than any candle. What strange land is this? Who has brought me here, and how?
If this is some trick of the Lannisters, I warn you, it will not go well for you. We have Lord Tywin's son, and should any harm befall me, he will be returned to you as a head on a spike. You may imprison me here, you may seek to force me to my knees, and to cut me off from my family and the men who follow me, but I am a Stark of Winterfell. The North will not stand for this.
