"Wow Keith, Nice Pipes!"

Yet another ski trip has ended, and all things considered it was a pretty good trip. First good thing I got to spend time with Lydia (yay) and my friends that I don't often see. Second good thing, at no point did I spin out, total a vehicle, or get stuck in a ditch, which has been a current trend over the past few years. Got to ski some Saturday, ( Read more... )

Well from what Aaron and others have told me, the only good way to get rid of mid-section body fat is by cardio exercises.

So running, bike, etc to burn the mid section fat, and I guess this will work very quickly if you keep up on it.

Then do some crunches (not sit ups) to maintain the muscle in your stomach as well as build some new muscle. New muscle will help burn fat.

So yeah, run chicken boy.

Conjugated Linolic Acid (CLA) which I can get for you at a discount at GNC, has been shown to break up the fat in your mid-section and in your butt and thighs, so that when you do cardio it is more easily mobilized. It's also an agent that's found in milk, I don't know if you've seen the commercials that say 'Three a day to a slimmer waist,' but you can get it without having to drink all that milk through a softgel.

I would also take a *natural* multivitamin, not one of those One-a-day or Centrum pieces of crap. One of the first things I learned while working at GNC is that people who take a multivitamin tend to have better weight loss results than those who don't by about 30%.

Also, doing a bunch of crunches isn't necessarily going to help you burn the fat around said muscle. You need to weight train, but you need to do it all over. Building lean muscle mass all over your body, rather than in just one concentrated area, will be more effective in helping you burn fat.

Good luck!

So far I have been drinking the milk, in one form or another, usually a smoothie. I bought an organic multivitamin from the better health store, so I think I'm covered there. I am weight training 3 days a week isolating 2-3 muscle groups a session, and cardio on the other 3 days. Hopefully I will see the results I want quickly, as I tend to get frustrated easily.

You've done it before, if I remember correctly, a few summers ago. I'm sure you'll do fine with 6 days of workout. Good luck!

I know, but I dunno if I lost more fat than muscle, or vice versa. Also I'm looking for any new technology/pharmacology that will give me a leg up on the others. There is $500 on the line. Just as long as the pharmacology doesn't make me grow a 3rd eye.
