In my effort to become debt free, last night I paid off the entire balance on a credit card I closed like 3 years ago. Well paid off is an understatement. Overpaid the bill by $720! So after calling both my bank, and credit card company, I am now at the mercy of waiting for a refund check to be issued. Apparently my bank does transactions almost

Congrats on going for debt free, even if there was a problem. I have let my CC debt get too high as well, and have been working on paying it off for the past few months.
