Green Tea has this stuff called EGCG in it, which is supposed to help raise your metabolism and provide a natural source of caffiene that helps you burn fat. A lot of the fat burners I sell at GNC have some form of Green Tea in it, just make sure you get the regular, not the decaf.
As far as I know, interval training is good because it gets your heart rate closer to your Anaerobic threshold (the point at which you stop burning fats and burn sugars) and continually training close to your anaerobic threshold (AT) pushes it further and further, so you expand the heart rate range within which you are most effective at burning fats. Training at lower intensities (and consequently a lower heart rate) gives you an opportunity to burn fats as well. A lot of times when I go into cycling classes, they do intervals to do just that, I assume.

Green Tea is good for you all around. Its a good anti-oxident and still gives you a stimulant like coffee, all though, not as much of course.
