Apparently Sprint has unloaded around 1000 of their customer because they call too much. Sprint spokesman states that these were the customers who called 40 to 50 more than regular customer every month for problems which Sprint felt had been resolved to the best of their ability. Umm, these people were doing this as a way to get out of their contract for free. This happened with Cingular at one point as well. 40,000 calls for 1,000 customers... yeah I would ask them not to return as well. That is not right because it increases hold times and problems for us customers who are not raging assholes. Most people did this because it was an effective way to escape your contract and they wanted to get iPhones. This way of doing it has been on Slickdeals for awhile and works with every carrier ( ... )

Believe me, I am in no way defending AT&T for anything. I am originally a Cingular customer, which used to be SBC, the AT&T merger was not my idea. Since the merger I have noticed a steady increase in dropped calls or not even getting the call, and is the reason I'll be looking for a new carrier in November ( ... )

I have no experience with their local/long distance. My cell phone has been perfect though, except I guess I have missed a couple calls because they do not come through to the phone, I have heard of others having this problem with other carriers, but for a little while Sprint was bad about it. Has not seemed to be a problem over the past year though. Maybe that was what you were talking about about overloading the towers ( ... )
