Devin had checked out of his nice hotel, then into a not as nice one and then out of that one with no forwarding information. No phone call. No "Hey I'm moving on." Fergus wasn't overly surprised, but he was worried. He contemplated finding Warren's phone number and seeing if he knew where he was, but didn't want to worry the boy ( Read more... )

Warren caught Devin around the waist, hands clasped in front of his stomach, laughing.

"We're going to be late..." Although they hadn't been yet, this trip. They'd been good, even with everything that had been going on. It was a minor miracle.

"I don't go on 'til eleven..." Devin protested with a little pout, leaning back into him and tracing fingers up his arm. That sound check was at seven and the opening bands couldn't be counted on to do it right for his set had nothing to do with it, really.

"We have to check and make sure Melissa's there, go through sound check, see what the audience is like..." Warren murmured over his ear before nipping gently at his neck. Then a soft kiss.

"You never know. There could be scouts. Or reporters."

It was Friday night in New York at a good club. Those things were possible. The kiss was not convincing Devin that it was really necessary to leave just yet, though.

He turned a bit to kiss him properly. "We could leave in an hour and still make it..."
