Wesley Clark in 2008?

I never understood why people completely overlooked Wesley Clark in 2004, but he's thinking of trying again, and I think that's good news given the situation overseas. We need a proven leader - someone who, oh, I don't know, actually served in the military, understands geopolitics, can spell, can speak, etc.

If he campaigns, he's got my vote.

How do you make links in your posts? I need to learn how to do that. Nice political remarks btw. It's funny because it's true.

I think he was too late in the game last time and never really had enough name recognition.

I think GEN Clark is probably what the Democratic Party has been looking for all along as far as "sellability" is concerned, but I am curious to see how he will deal with Iraq. I've noticed a lot of Democrats advocating for a "sectioning-off" of Iraq into three territories---essentially, one for Sunnis, one for Shi'ias, and one for Kurds. We tried that in the Balkans; GEN Clark was Commander of NATO Europe at the time. UN peacekeepers are still in Serbia and Kosovo, and it's been almost ten years.

But he does understand geopolitics, can spell, and can speak. And actually served instead of sitting as an Individual Ready Reservist for 15 of a 20-year military career, which would be a refreshing change in the current administration.
