Touch and trust

Touch in general and hands in particular have always been an important part of how I interact with people. Despite being really kind of reserved around people, touching is a very settling and grounding necessity of social life. Within touching, there are certain levels of it.

very insightful. I think many of your points are widely shared, with the exception of physical contact in a working environment. Overall, I think too many people approach it the wrong way and people get offended. Personally, I'm weirded out when people (coworkers) come up and hug me. I had one guy come and start rubbing on shoulders, that definitely weirded me out. Friends and family, though, I agree with you whole heartedly.
