car rentals

hey guys,

has anyone tried renting a car in Kingston with a G2 license (especially from Discount)? do they let you rent cars without a G license?

i know the obvious answer is to call them & ask, but i'm kind of anxious to know the answer.

My husband and I rented a car from Discount about a month ago. He only has his G2, but he is 25, so I don't know if that helped. We had no issues renting it even though he didn't have his full G. The only annoying thing with Discount is they put a $500 hold on a credit card, but other than that, no problems with them.

my friends & i aren't 25 yet, & only 1 of us has her G. i don't know the age thing will make a difference, but thanks for your reply!

A lot of places won't rent you a car unless you're over 25. The ones that will commonly charge you extra because you're under 25.
