Heaven ??

Even though I've lost most hope for organized religion I still admire Martian Luther, he had balls. I keep wandering around religion and I keep getting led back to my foundation of Lutheran teachings. I just think religion is a big city and I've been stuck in the same square mile my whole life. You don't have to subscribe to any religion at all either. I'm sure you know this already, but I think it might be the best choice. You don't have to believe anything on faith to be a good person or to have meaning in life.

I understand the benefits of community, but here is community to be had without metaphysical claims muddying everything up.

But I don't want to rub anybody the wrong way, so I won't go on.

Yes I know. But my point was that I feel a magnetic pull towards religion. But right now in my life I really don't know what's out there which is why I consider myself to be agnostic.

well maybe you just feel a pull towards those fun times you had that happened to be based around religious organizations.

I'm agnostic too about God and everything, but I'm agnostic about the tooth fairy too. You can't prove either aren't real, but it seems like there's a better explanation for things attributed to them.

But maybe I've said too much which I what I didn't want to do anyway.

No, I don't think you've said too much. There is nothing wrong with expressing your opinion especially when someone else puts theirs out there on LJ or something. :o]
