Yes. ridiculous is the first word that comes to mind about this. ROFL. What an idiot. I shouldn't have hung up, I should have asked for a supervisor but I was just dumbfounded, lol.

I called back later that day and spoke to someone else about it. It's crazy because as it turns out they already filed a claim with her insurance company, who rejected it because they say she is no longer covered by them because apparently they cancelled her Medical Assistance. They did cancel it but only because I didn't give them income information. I called them after the fact and gave them the information and they said she would be approved. I swear they sent me a letter saying she was approved! What a pain in the ass.

i have a worse story. i swear...

so i'm at the state office applying to get help with daycare. mary (3 months old) is sitting in my lap while i do the interview. the woman asks if i'm working. blah, yeah. she asks if anyone else in the family has income. i say, "no it's just me & my daughter." the woman says, "and where does she work?"

(mind you i looked BARELY 18 myself.)

i smirked, "oh she's a part time cocktail waitress at honey's. once she's crawling she might even get stage time." (honey's is a strip club.)

the woman jerked her head up from the computer and said, "HOW old is she?"
