I'm glad you liked it; the way I read these two (most of the time! ^_^) is that neither would ever do anything to hurt the other, so Arthur would never hurt Merlin... without his consent, for something like this. And Merlin would do everything for Arthur - including this. If that makes sense. If Arthur needs the outlet, then Merlin will give it to him.
