When they're in the minstrels' gallery(?) spying on the coronation of Morgana and the humiliation of Uther, Arthur and Merlin are spotted. In imminent danger and with no other way out, Merlin uses his instinctive magic to transport them out of Camelot (or stop time long enough for them to run, which would provide a similar effect for the onlookers)... this probably wasn't the best time to reveal his secret to an already shell-shocked Arthur, was it? And now Morgana and Morgause (and Uther?) know too... great.
