Where Arthur is the one moving in Merlin's apartment; and since Merlin is very neighbors-friendly he pushes Arthur to get to know them one by one. Arthur doesn't have the heart to tell him that he doesn't care in the slightest that the cat of Mrs Lovewig has been to the vet this week.... because apparently Merlin cares about everything and everyone. Especially him.

“Hey, a little help here Merlin?”
Arthur grunted under the weight of the large box he was carrying up the front steps of Merlin’s-- well now their-- flat. Merlin, completely oblivious, was chattering at his side about Mrs. Lovewig in 3b who had just found out that one of her cats had an infection and needed some kind of cat medication. Merlin sounded very distraught over this, even though Arthur knew that Merlin was allergic to cats, and was actually a bit scared of them. When Arthur mentioned this fact, Merlin gave him a scathing look and continued describing in horrifying detail the infection that had befallen Mrs. Lovewig’s cat ( ... )

This was so not what Arthur had had in mind for their first few days living together. Arthur had taken the entire week off to leave time for unpacking and adjusting and he had pictured days spent in bed, with lots of sleep and lots of sex. But Merlin just looked so excited and so eager for Arthur to meet everyone that Arthur couldn’t do anything but paste on a smile and give a hopefully convincing, “Sounds great!”
The next three days were a whirlwind of long dinners, awkward teas,and unnecessarily early breakfasts. But Arthur did it, for Merlin. Because he loved Merlin, he kept reminding himself. But on the fourth day, when Merlin suggested Arthur go visit with Mr. McHenry on his own while Merlin checked in at work, Arthur reached his limit. He didn't want to spend time with Mr. McHenry, he was alarmingly old, smelled like a combination of urine and baby powder, and he couldn’t hear what Arthur was saying anyway!
