Gwen/Morgana, vision!sex. Morgana has a vision of her having sex with Gwen. How she deals with this is up to you. :)

The Sacred Simplicity Of You At My Side - part 1/? anonymous December 9 2009, 06:11:04 UTC
OK, so this is turning into something much longer than I originally thought it would be (Up to 3.5k already, and I'm not halfway through), so I've decided to post a teaser (sorry! I'm impatient) in the form of the first part.

There was no space between them. Every single inch pressed against the other and it felt like relief, like a screamingly, blindingly needed thing. Breast mashing into breast, stomach to stomach, legs tangled, mouths clashing messily in their greedy attempts to get at everything at once. She didn’t know how they’d got there, what had brought them to this, this tipping point into melting desperation, but as Gwen dipped her head to mouth slackly at the corner of her jaw, she found she didn’t really care ( ... )

OP here! Ohhhh, author, this is wonderful. The dream is beautiful and so tempting, and it's almost heartbreaking when Morgana wakes up and realizes it's a dream. And lovely, lovely Gwen is there to comfort her and it's because of that that Morgana starts to realize what it means. I really like where you're going with this and cannot wait for me.

Thank you so much! ♥

(Oh bugger it. It seems I don't have the willpower to hold off until I actually finish. So - installments it is! Thanks for you kind words, OP! Hope you enjoy!)

Morgana had always been extremely fond of Gwen. Loved her, even, in her own, preoccupied way. But since the dream, she’d been noticing her more, noticing her in ways she’d never even imagined before. Gwen’s fingers, deftly unlacing her gown at the end of the day, made her think of those fingers being deft in infinitely more useful places. The stretch of Gwen’s shoulder, revealed briefly while she reached for a high corner with a duster, forcefully plunged Morgana’s mind into the thought of what that skin would feel like, the memory of the feel of it, soft and hard and so hot to touch with the pads of her fingertips or the heel of her hand… how she knew, she knew that if she pressed a kiss just there, just to that hollow, Gwen wouldn’t be able to stop herself gasping and clutching and maybe even mewing just a little bit ( ... )

This is gorgeous, with just the right amount of heartbreak -- I love Morgana's growing awareness of Gwen's body, and the way it contrasts with her mercenary, impersonal assessment of other women's looks. Eagerly looking forward to more!

Oh, this is beautiful. I love the dialogue between Gwen and Morgana; I can almost hear the lilt in Morgana's voice. :)

The UST is so great here, too. I love how Morgana compares herself to different ladies, trying to emphasize her assets in the best way possible. And of course the description of Gwen!

The image of Gwen and Morgana in Arthur's bed is hot. ;) I also really like how you're weaving in Morgana's insecurities and self doubt into this. Can't wait for more!

(In which the author plays fast and loose with the canon time period, owing to an inability to find the medieval equivalent for things like "wingman" and "date rape".)

Though the saying is true, that desperate times call for desperate measures, she still couldn’t quite believe she was doing this. Couldn’t quite see how it could possibly be a good idea. Nevertheless, she knocked on the chamber door, flouncing inside as soon as the sleep-muddled, irritated occupant opened it.

“Morgana.” Arthur’s roughened voice rumbled deep in his chest. “You shouldn’t be here. It’s late.”

“Why not?”

Arthur reddened slightly, before making some obscure gesture towards the two of them. “It’s not… proper.”

“Oh, because I’m totally here to tear your clothes off with my teeth and let you have your wild way with me.”

Arthur’s eyes widened, making desperate SHUT UP SHUT UP motions as he stumbled out the open door to look in both ways up and down the corridor. Apparently satisfied no eavesdroppers were running off to report him to his father, he ( ... )

There was a long pause. Arthur stared, unmoving, as incomprehension, confusion, suspicion, amusement, wariness, and a thousand unnameable emotions flickered across his face. For her part, Morgana felt almost dizzy, an unstable lightness filling the space in her head where the secret used to be. Finally, he said slowly, “You… love Gwen?” He frowned, “You mean… like a sister, or something?”

“No, Arthur. I don’t mean like a sister. I mean I’m in love with her. I mean that I want to kiss her, touch her, be with her everywhere and always. I love how she smells, how she moves, how she smiles. I want her to be mine and no one else’s. I want her in my bed and I want her never to leave it. And it’s fucking awful because she’s a girl and I’m a girl and I don’t know what to do ( ... )

“Eurgh.” She tried for the door again, but Arthur grabbed her arm loosely, laughing.

“Ok! Ok! Sorry! Alright, I’m sorry. And…” his mind seemed to drift somewhere else for a moment, “… you’re wrong. About me not understanding. I do - more than you know.” His expression remained far away for a few seconds more, before he snapped back into the present, his face hot. Well, that’s intriguing, Morgana had time to think, before he was saying, “Ahem. So - so let’s talk, shall we ( ... )

I just LOVED this part! The sibling love/teasing rang so real, and the 'I understand...' was lovely and poor Morgana's lack of alternatives was just adorable!

LOL! I love Arthur in this. He's very 21-year-old-boy in here, but he's also princely and genuinely cares for Morgana. Awesome. :D

I also like the hint that Arthur might feel the same way for someone else. :)

The banter in this part is hilarious. I love them together.

I love the banter, especially Morgana's defensive haughtiness, and Arthur's initial awkwardness, and the hint of Arthur/Merlin (yay)! Looking forward to more!

The term "wingman" did give me a momentary "whoa, anachronism" jolt . . . in my head, it has a strong association with planes even when it's being used to describe pick-up tactics, but that might just be me.< /random nitpick >
