Oh lookit, anon being contrived. But hey, this is ANON, soo....
AlleSume, Halloween style: Allelujah is a vampire who comes to drink Sumeragi's blood. But she just happens to be pissed drunk at the time, so he gets whoozy right along with her. It ends, predictably, in sex.

I would be lying if I said another Anon's A Very Spooky Tale didn't inspire this short. Of course, saying that implies this is going to be even half as good, which is incredibly pretentious. But they are alike in that the prompt triggered a whole lot of world building in my mind and I wouldn't be against the notion of extending this to a long-running saga if my fellow Anons are interested. There were a great many things people associated with vampires. Fangs, blood, rapacious desires, bad make up. A vampire rose out of his coffin in slow motion to dramatic music. He spoke in an Eastern European accent, yet no one, not even an Eastern European, could actually place it. He hunted down virgins while brave clergymen and dashing young beaus stood between the fair lady and the foul beast

“Clean as a whistle,” Neil announced in a surprisingly light tone as he stepped out into the hall. He had just finished a last-minute interview with the donor. She had already been through several, but this one consisted mainly of Neil sweeping her home for anything that might be used to ambush his charge. It wouldn’t reflect well on his record if a vampire under his care wound up being lynched thanks to an oversight

“You don’t have to butter me up, you know,” she drained the glass in a single gulp. He would be lying if he said he wasn’t impressed. “We both know why you’re here

He slammed shut the door on that line of thought, easing her onto the comforter. And he would have pulled away, too, if not for the way she clung to his arm like a toothy teddy bear. “Mmmmm,” was all she offered in explanation, drifting into a haze of too much alcohol and not enough blood

“Morning, sleepy head.” Sumeragi stood in the doorway to the world beyond her bedroom, steaming mug of coffee in one hand. Dressed down in sweat pants and an old t-shirt, she still looked stunning. He suspected that he looked like death warmed over, if the thick, stale taste in his mouth and the disgustingly slick feel of his bangs were any indication. She was very good at the whole getting shit-faced thing

That was aaaawesome. I loved the very earthy, normal handling of vampirism as a condition to be dealt with. And we all know how conditions like that are mired in bureaucracy, so that part was believable, too.
All that, and the innocent, young guy/ experienced, flippant older woman dynamic between this Allelujah and Sumeragi was fun.

For anyone who read the first six parts and thought this was total crap and that I should be stoned to death for even thinking of writing more, I have this to say: TOO BAD! I'm bored and I have a word processor.
Moving along, after reading through the first six parts and all of my other entries in this meme and the first season's, I have to say I'm shocked at all of my mistakes. I need a proof reader. But I'm working on it. Hopefully, these next few shorts won't be so butchered. But whatever. You didn't come to see me rant. You came to watch Allelujah and Sumeragi flirt (with the unspoken agreement being that they'll eventually have sex).Allelujah drew in a long, steadying breath, bracing himself for what was to come. It was hard enough to do this sober. Being so hung over you were still a little drunk would make this virtually impossible. As tempting as it may have been to not do this at all, he couldn’t simply run away from it. No, that could only end in a great many pains in the ass, between all the officers that

---Sometimes he wondered if Ms. Mannequin was a psychic or a telekinetic or whatever it was that could make your head explode if they thought about it hard enough. He certainly wished his head would spontaneously combust, if only to save himself from the guilt-inducing ray that was her glare

He hit the bed with a satisfied, “aaaaaah,” burying his face in the familiar folds of his sheets. The mattress wheezed in reply. There was nothing greater than a good shower after a long night of … whatever the hell last night had been. He cracked a heavy lid to spy the evidence. The borrowed blouse sat draped over his interior doorknob, all jaunty and pink (magenta, the fashion-savvy might have said) and begging questions. He would have to burn it. Or at least hide it

8D Do proceed. If this is what you call a "short", the thought of a saga makes OP's mouth (and pants) water.
