So basically you are dumping all sorts of bad crap on your head because you do not know as much, if not more, than an MD with years of intense training and education. Yeah, that makes sense.

I suppose you're right. I still feel like an idiot, but I know this isn't really my fault. I shouldn't be expected to become the leading expert on shingles. Still, I wish I could have at least made the connection and suggested it to my doctors. I certainly will the next time I feel this pain, rash or no rash.

Oh, that's so not fun - so sorry to hear that.
Take it easy on yourself, and give yourself the time to heal. You wouldn't have known - how could you?

I know, I'm not the one with the medical degree, and I've only had one outbreak in my life, so I'm hardly an expert. Still feel kind of dense, though.
