Today is Teacher Appreciation Day, so thank you to hanarobi for continuing to encourage young adult minds to think philosophically in an increasingly STEM-centered world, and claudia603 for showing little ones that school can be an enriching, fun place (that is, when your coworkers aren't driving you nuts

And you should be appreciated, too! At our school we do a TA appreciation lunch (teachers contribute lunch and desserts for a lunch just for them).

Ugh, don't get me started on kids who should have safety aids at our school and don't...:( Such a mess!

Wow, that's nicer than anything anyone at our school would do.

Is every school like this, or just those with less funding? I know for a fact that I work in a crap district, so maybe I should have expected this.

As it's teacher appreciation - I am appreciating the hell out of you, for being there for those kids, for being able to see through the problems and love the people they are or they're going to become, and for just being awesome :D ♥
