i have the main melody to "summer of 69'" by Brian Adams, but i really REALLY want to learn "hotel California" by the Eagles, but the way the numbers are i cant understand what string i'm supposed to hit with what finger on what fret, i'm getting so frustrated.. is there anyone out there who can help?

gee, it sounds quite like you're trying to read tab. if this is the case, i can help. but i have to know first:P

alright, tab is pretty simple once you know what you're reading. if it is indeed tab, it'll look somewhat like sheet music (6 lines on top of each other). the lines go up from lowest string to highest, and the numbers on the lines tell you which fret to hit for that note/chord. i can't really explain where your fingers go b/c it depends, but with most chords there's only so many options.
