So, I wanted to be popular, so I am posting back to my live journal for the first time in years. A lot of things have been weighing on me anyway, so I suppose it's a good time ( Read more... )

I'm really proud of the headway you are making with where you allow your head to go back. I definitely believe that if you expect the worst, that's what you'll get.

You are a totally strong person and you just have to remember that. Moving here was the right thing to do because everything shifted into place for you and now you are set up for a big life change again, the hard part is just figuring out what the heck to do with it. (Though you talking about culinary school really resonated with me.)

I know I get frustrated with the b/f sometimes too, he's definitely guarded, but I'm really glad that he takes such good care of you and compliments you so well. I'll try to be more understanding of his differences and intentions. =)

so... first things first. I love you. You are my best friend. You are a strong, amazing, loving, funny, fantastic to be a round, individual.

I know things are hard right now, but you are going to fall into the right thing for you and it is gonna be AMAZING. I love the culinary school idea. I love the going back to school- but only to do something you love- idea.

I just want you to be you. :D

As long as you are happy with your relationship- I will work through whatever awkwardness that may or may not arise with the boyfriend. As your best friend- it would be nice for all parties to love each other and get along. I love John because you love him and he loves you. I accept him because of those things. I am not fake when I invite him over and hug him when he comes in.. but in the same way that I accept him, I feel sad when he does not treat us in the same regard.... but we are different people. Life is full of challenges and lessons.. and sometimes time is needed to learn from experiences.

Culinary school just sounds like an amazing idea for you... Is there an Art Institute there? Seattle Art Institute has an amazing Culinary program... so I am wondering if there is one in Ohio?

As far as everything else.... Allen you are one of the most amazing people I know. Perhaps this relationship is the something you need for personal growth? Why not start looking at the lessons (large and small) that exist for you in your current situation. What have you already learned? Patience? Tolerance? How to identify Shenpa?

Keep up all of the hard work and continue to find faith in yourself again Sweetie. Your friends have faith in you for certain.

* grins and winks* I know ALL to well what you are going through, trust in the fact. But DON'T go to a simple job just to pay the bills IF you are able to find something you love.. I did that When all hell broke loose with Sommet. I needed something and i could have easily gotten unemployment BUT i was freaking out and went for my old stand by the restaurant and took a job with Qdoba. Looking back.. i should have just taken unemployment and gone back to school. But this isn't about me its about you and what YOU think is best for YOU. If you love cooking (and you have some serious talent!!! JUST SAYING!) THEN GO FOR IT!! There are always jobs in restaurants. Its not Glamrous work BUT in the end its always wonderful to watch someone bite into something you have made and watching that smile of contentment and mmmm mmmm good face... you know the one i'm talking about that oooo and aaahhh face ;) * looks around at the others* OH YOU NAUGHTY MONKEY'S!!!! hehe i was thinking that too... ANYWAY ( ... )
