I like gauze, durabond, and stitches, just not on me. Also, I would love to have tried the mead I brewed, but antibiotics prevented that. At least those at the mead tasting all loved the brews and thanked me for my blood sacrifice.

I was going to ask on FB, but I will do it here instead.

What the hell did you do to yourself that involves stiches, durabond, gause and antibiotics? Was broken glass involved?

Why yes, it was! I had a 5ish gallon carboy (water jug) that we use for brewing, and it was full of water after having been cleaned. I was picking it up to put on the counter to empty it with the siphon (so that could get cleaned as well). I had one hand under the bottom, and the right up by the opening. I had it almost onto the counter, when it slipped out of my left hand and crashed a couple inches to the slam the edge of the counter. It shattered with my right hand still holding the top, which disintegrated under my hand. It sliced my hand at the base of the pinky (2 stitches) and base of my ring finger (3 more stitches). There is also a small deepish cut on my thumb that got the durabond (they debated stitching it, but it wasn't quite deep enough). There are a bunch smaller cuts on my hand as well. More later, but that is how I came to have my hand wrapped in gauze with stitches and durabond. Oh, and the occasional rubber glove since I can't wash my hand or get it wet until at least tomorrow when I follow up with the doc

Hope you feel better. And have mead soon. :) I probably would have mixed a few sip of the mead and the antibiotics, just because I went to all that trouble of brewing it. -.-

Oh, I made sure there was leftover mead... I just don't want this going on any longer than it needs to. Having you handed hand injured like this is VERY annoying.
