This was a small and perfectly formed fic. I loved it. and from the comments, there's more somewhere, with a child?!

Wow. Will be going off to look shortly, right after I say thanks for this great writing. It was so evocative; a whole world and history and emotional landscape in so few words, and slightly angsty but also hot, but also sweet and hopeful.

Hi there! Thanks so much for such a lovely comment.

The 'more' is kind of commentfic about their first 'video' (or just rambling, really) over at the journal of the person I dedicated this to but, sadly, I think it's pretty buried now among other entries so it might be hard to find. I had intended to write it up as a proper fic but life and other stories got in the way. Still, I might revisit! You never know.

Well, it's amazing what a reader will do in search of a fix that they know will work for them.

So, anyway, I should confess that I've already been off on the scent, and I have to say I'm delighted to have the opportunity to let you know just how much I appreciated it! (It didn't seem appropriate to comment there in old entries on your friends' journals.)

Oh man, this fic!!! It's so angsty and quietly sad, but you manage to uplift by virtue of Jamie and channing's nurturing, sweet relationship. This is made of hotness and hurty-good.

Honestly I think the bit about how they always fall into step together was my favorite part of this. It's something that always caught my attention at the end of The Eagle, and the way you cited and described it here...just beautiful.
