Kichiku Megane rant
It's the last day of august sigh...anyway been spending a week playing Kichiku Megane and I have finally finshed it!! whew
I think every BL fan know what Kichiku Megane is..the latest Bl game from spray. It has been on the top ten of eroge game selling list for about a month which is 0__o. To tell you for truth I was not keen on this until I heard rave reviews on this.
So the story simple Katsuya Saeki is a business man who one day receives a pair of glasses from a weird guy Mr R. Wearing them turns him into a clever dirty seme (lchiya Kurosaki comes to mind) the glasses help him to land a deal with MGN head Takanori Mido to sell the drink protofibre within a time span of 3 months and so paths spilt if you use those glasses or not.
So Angel Feather introduces twincest but kichiku megane introduces selfcest. Now when I think selfcest I think kichiku megane, plus spray have increased the love for glasses and also left an impression on me that glasses + pomegranates = EVIL. I mean how can you eat pomegranates like apples??!! you have to peel them to get the fruit out, spray also implies that pomegranates gives you H dreams of selfcest and other things
This game is huge with 31 different endings (that more than angel feather) It's really standard point and click game expect for you can decide where to go, what to do and wear the glasses or not. There a "kichiku level" and it's increases if you use the glasses. The metre is at it's lowest it's green and at it's highest it's red. But it doesn't do that much expect for if it's max out red you are getting a bad end. The end ranges to normal good and bad where bad endings outweigh the good. Every few endings a pomegranate is given to you most of these are weird H dreams and omakes (mostly with selfcest). Some are plain weird..like a quiz on testing your nature and other stuff.
The game has a lot of extras like characters profiles, Mr R omakes, and the choice to change your character system voice (which has a character voice asking you to save, load, see gallery, bah bah) as you finish a character route you unlock their profile and system voice. plus your cursor is glasses HELL YEAH
The game has routes for seme and uke katsuya (I am calling him saeki cus it's easier to spell) so that's 3 for uke and 4 for seme that's really unbalanced. Each route has about 2-3 smut scenes for each route so that's a lot of smex scenes compared to lamento.
Anyway on to the characters:
Katsuya Saeki (CV:Daisuke Hirakawa)
I am so tempered to call him Katsura Sekai (ahah school days pun) Anyway the 25 year old business man who thinks he is useless, until the day he receives those glasses which could change his life. I don't know if I really like his character or not I have a love and hate relationship with him and the reason is well Daisuke Hirakawa is his VA. I do respect Daisuke Hirakawa, he a great VA and I should not really hate VA for their character roles.
But lately I have been watching school days where he plays Makoto Itou,and he is a 100% main character you really want to hack with a axe that dirty sex mad pimp AGGHHH his character makes my blood boil... *(&)*&(*^(&%^^&$^%’%$’!h&
*Ahem* anyway his uke character is normal shy Makoto Itou like -_-; he sooo yeah.. baka in mido seme route he says the line all baka uke will say "I do anything!" For mido anything means sex. But I think his character really shines when saeki wears those glasses..I mean wow hirakawa I have never heard a sexy seme voice like that before! you should really use it more how come in 99% of drama Cds I hear you use that uke voice of yours. And for those who figuring out how the hell those selfcest smut scenes work out well IT'S GREAT damn Hirakawa is talented! it's amazing how technology can do this. I am wondering how did he do it? did he do all the seme parts and then the uke parts because normally in smut parts the seme and uke VA voice the sex scenes together.
Takanori Mido (Cv: Kouji Yusa)
The 32 year old head of MGN company. He's strict and likes wine. Erm..yeah liked both his seme and uke routes because Kouji Yusa does a very good job as both seme and uke roles and plays what he does best a tunsdere XD. Kouji Yusa needs to be in more games plus I hav'nt heard a lot from him the anime roles. Although his routes is soooooooo bussiness with lots and lots of smut ( S&M in particular)
Honda Kenji (Cv: Yasumoto Hiroki)
The 25 year old friend of saeki in the same division of him. He's the opposite of saeki positive, bright, happy. Was in the same university as saeki and was in the same volleyball team. He still carries on with volleyball. Honda route both uke and seme is more story focused then mido route which covers saeki and honda past. Although some parts where toooo long ( in saeki uke route when they are drinking and talking on their pasts) Now Yasumoto Hiroki is great and matches honda well as a uke and seme. I never knew who the hell he is until I checked ANN. he is justice in Doujin Work (I ADORE HIM SOOO FUNNY!) and razel in lamento *shock* wow
Minoru Katagiri (CV: Makoto Yasumura)
The 41 year old leader of saeki and honda division. His route can only be gotten if you play seme saeki in which I can understand because he is just as baka as uke saeki ( since he said that I will do anything line carelessly.) His route is an opposite of uke saeki mido route. He is a very slow character and has two yellow birds in which don't really make a long appearance. Now Makoto Yasumura is another VA I don't know until I checked. He is one of the twins cats in lamento ( I think it's kill) 0___o wow...
Tachi Igarashi (CV:Takashi Kondo)
21 year old university student who works in a cafe....but he is a member of a family of YAKUZA!!!0________________O his character is very naoto like (expect for naoto is better XD). His route is the opposite of minoru uke route which means you can only get his route as uke saeki, although you can rape him with seme saeki. His route was not business related (whew) and overall it's well balanced of light hearted and darker parts. Takashi Kondo is new to the BL world! 0__o he's played train in black cat and the main in summer_
Aki Suhara (Cv: Keisuke Gotou)
The first guy you sleep with and his age is unknown (I think 16-17). His route can be gotten with seme saeki and is very short and not heavy on story. Very uke like likes seme saeki thinks he's cool bah bah. He's goes to a famous school, his happy ending was the worst, it wasn't really a lovely happy ending that's all I can say..
Keisuke Gotou is a noob VA which is fine. I think he also played young saeki in honda paths and extra omake
Mr R (cv: Maeda Takeshi)
The guy who gives saeki those glasses, age is unknown. He's another type of interesting baddies (like shoua and leaks) but come on he is bad and sounds like a prev. He sometimes helps saeki but mostly in the end he likes to lure saeki to do ecchi things. Maeda Takeshi has done other roles whose I don't know
Finally how I wish spray gave voices to minor characters... poor them they feel so lifeless..
Overall a great game I want to rank this game 2nd fav (angel feather is still 1st and lamento third) Also spray are already working on their next game stealh wooot! Sooo fast!! Now if blue impact HURRY UP with white shadow...
and finally fanart if anyone is interested..katsuya hair is blond brown like the twins in Angel feather..but piant cant make that colour so it's yellow blond for now -_-;
