16th [action]

[Outside of the cosplay cafe at 1245 Williams, Saber and Gilgamesh were dressed and prepped. Of course, Gil was playing the role of caring, experience worker. And doing his best to embarrass Saber doing a pretty damn good job at it.]

First thing you should keep in mind is to always have a smile on your face! If you can blush, that's bonus ( Read more... )

Ah...I need a map...

[Bazett has managed to get lost again even though she has technically been all over before. To be fair, the last two times, she was either hallucinating or Mayfield had been destroyed.]

What the...?

[She can only stand dumbfounded at the sight of the two very familiar maids. She blanches as she sees the younger one and tries to sneak away before he notices her.]

Heeeey! Where are you going?

[So much for sneaking away.]

I'm...trying to find my way back to my house.

[Now she just hopes that the boy does not remember her.]

No you weren't.

[Somehow, the words that would have been infuriating coming from the mouth of anyone else do not sound half so infuriating when coming from this boy.]

...Can you keep a secret?

[She's blushing now. The boy is just too adorable. And to think that she had tried to fight him...]

I'll do my best, Bazett-san!

[Now her last hope is gone too. Surely it's not too much to hope that he won't tell everyone he knows about what she had tried to do while hallucinating...]

I-I'm going to pay a visit to Tohsaka and her sister...Check up on them...

[Tohsaka is a given. She is Bazett's ally. As for Tohsaka's sister, the girl had looked so sad and broken when Bazett had last seen her that she feels compelled to check on her now that the cannibal apocalypse is over.]

[In fact, she is not just going to check up on them--she wants to spar with them and gauge their skills. The previous disaster had removed Tohsaka's magic circuits, while Tohsaka's sister had newly arrived. This meant that both of them are human at present. She wants to see how strong the sisters are as humans and maybe offer them some combat training.]

[The reason that it is so embarrassing is because she is not exactly known for her altruism. As an Enforcer, she has an image to maintain.]

If Saber is here, Rin will be here too. That's just a fact.

Why would Tohsaka be here if Saber is here? Is Saber Tohsaka's Servant too?

[At this point, she wonders if it is Tohsaka's goal to collect every Servant.]

No, Saber is my wife. Rin just wants to take her from me but that'll never happen.

...

[There are so many things wrong with those two sentences. Likewise, there are so many things that she wants to say.]

["Aren't you a little too young?]

["She's already married to Guinevere."]

["Wait, are you implying that Tohsaka is lusting after Saber?"]

["How is GILGAMESH married to KING ARTHUR?"]

...She already has a wife.

[In the end, this is the only thing she can say.]

Isn't that woman dead? Saber is my wife now.

Well, seeing how you're a Servant, neither you or Saber are technically alive either.

[Well, Saber might be still alive, seeing how her legend said she slept in Avalon. However, Gilgamesh's legend clearly stated that he had failed in his quest for immortality.]

Besides, this place can summon people from different times and worlds.

[Now that she thinks about it, in legend, Guinevere did have a tendency to place oaths on the Knights of the Round Table. If said oaths counted as geis and the Holy Grail War system continued slotting heroes into classes even with strechy requirements...]

I do not see why she could not come back as either herself or a Servant version of her.

[Guinevere might have been a Caster. She certainly would have preferred the Queen, English as she might be, over the evil excuse for a man that was currently lurking in Mayfield.]

I've already figured out how to live in the normal world. So I am alive again.

You are still...young.

[She really hopes that he is just joking about the marriage. He looks too young to date, much less marry and perform...spousal duties.]

I only look young because this is how I like looking. What you probably saw before is what I really look like.
