i'm a bit slow to catch on but people are getting upset about this and now i'm wondering if it's something i should be upset about too.  what are pingbacks?  i read something about getting notified if my journal is linked anywhere.  i definitely want to be notified, because i don't want it linked anywhere.  i don't understand the facebook/lj

I don't get it either. All of my posts are friends only. I feel slow.

Apparently--though I don't know for sure--if someone checks the "repost to FB" box below their comment, it will post their comment and the link they commented on to FB. If it's an open entry, part of the entry will be posted; if it's friends-locked, then just the link. I haven't had this happen yet, thank goodness, so I can't confirm, but that's what I've read elsewhere.

In any case I keep my LJ and my FB completely separate (except for a couple friends on both), so I'm never going to check that box or link my FB in any way, so you're safe from me, kinsey_six.
