Today marks a monumentous occasion. After 8.5 years my orthodontist decalred today that I never have to have another appoiontment again. I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEE!
Mine gave up on me when I was in high school (I chose not to let him break all the bones in my jaws--why would I want to change my entire face so I could have "better" teeth?), but I remember how wonderful it was. Félicitations!
I didn't want straight teeth at all. Every month for the entire three years I had braces, I would "accidentally" break them. Finally my parents decided they didn't want to keep paying for them, and I got to keep the cute gap between my front teeth! It was my very first act of rebellion against the wonderful (*cough*) world of American health care. :-D
