I've received a few inquiries, so I figured I'd do a general post. I'm not leaving LJ (at least, for now). *g* I know change is good, but I don't like change. I run on railroad tracks. Well, unless my journal gets deleted by someone other than myself, I'm hanging around, at least for a while. LJ's my home, too. But I do feel more secure knowing that all my stuff has been imported to DW.

One of the better aspects of a fandom is friendship. Right back at'ya, hon! *hugs*

Right now I'm following the same path as you, Kin. I'm not quite ready to abandon LJ, but I will be setting up my DW account too as soon as I can find the time to get it all done. I think it is a good idea to have as many sources as we can for our stories. I have my favorite of course, but I have 4 different locations now where my work can be found. I guess it doesn't hurt to be prepared for any eventuality, and I feel more secure having the DW acct as a back up. *hugs back*

Me too... I've just backed up everything on Dreamwidth, but I'm not ready to delete anything on LJ at the moment. I haven't attempted to find friends or reconnect with anyone there just yet, but I suppose I will if it becomes necessary.

My banner header photos, along with several others I know, have already been removed. They did not waste time. Wow. I'm glad I backed everything up on another Journal account now. I would say this is pretty much the death of LJ. I hope they're happy with their results. And glad you duplicated everything on DW.

How odd! I can see your main banner on your LJ. I checked thru my scrapbook and everything is still there. *scratches head*

Yeah. Not sure what's going on. The side photos and banners were gone. Then I pulled it up, and they were back on there. Not sure if they will stay or not.

I'm still not comfortable being ruled by this owner in Russia, whose Federation has no tolerance for diversity. And you can't even READ the actual TOS.

I'll probably leave my LJ open, at least for now. But my new posts will mainly just be links to my posts on DW. 0
