Hey!

The biggest thing that has occured in my life is this: I packed up my bags and moved from Oklahoma City to Seattle, WA and I'm much better off for it.

I'm actually living in the Seattle metro area. I'll be moving into Seattle, the Ballard neighborhood to be exact, in about a year and a half (after my girlfriend gets out of school). Once I move into Seattle, I will finish some technical filmmaking classes, i.e. editing, lighting, etc. I will also pursue a partime job with one of the MANY MANY Landmark Theaters in Seattle as well as internships with one of several television stations.

So yeah, other than that, my year's been uneventful...

Oh wait...I also bought a brand new car...a 2003 Ford Focus that rocks very much.

But yeah...

Wow! Your life IS starting to pick up there. And a Ford Focus to boot...aren't you stylin' ;) I'm so happy to hear you're still doing the film thing, which is how, I think, I found you in the first place. I wish you tons of luck with those internships. And HAVE FUN in Seattle!!! I'm so jealous!

Doode, I have no idea why it won't let you post back to me. Maybe now that I'm madly in love with my girlfriend, the internet puts up some kind of guard for me. Haha.

whoa, it's a post from katie! amazing.

well, since you asked, by far the most amazing of many many many amazing things that happened to me this year was that my band had our cd released by an awesome label, got some amazing press, and went on a five week tour of the entire u.s. in which i got to meet/see/experience tons of people/places/things that i never had met/seen/experienced before.

there were so many amazing movies i saw this year. so far the best one would have to have been lost in translation or the station agent. two unreal films that deal with various aspects of friendship in completely different ways.

post more!

man almighty! I am so very impressed! Now I'll have to add this on my to-do list. Seriously though, from what I see and read, you guys look like an amazing band and you could, um, 'go places' at the risk of sounding like cheese. Best of luck there...I will check you out asap! Oh and from my ultra rockin' eye-for-design standpoint, props for the site too. Compliments to the chef...or whatever. Mama likey.

I really need to see Lost In Translation...I know, I SUCK! I'm kinda behind there, but no worries.

I'm so happy for you though! I mean it looks like so much fun all this gallivanting around the country and such. rock.

Huzzah! Katie-Christmas-posting-ness! Hope you're having a great holiday season!

Big news, eh? I guess my gf moving in with me would qualify, eh? It wasn't planned, it just kind of....happened (long story)....but we haven't gone for each others' throats yet, so that's a plus.

Hmm, well it happened in 2003 so technically I guess it counts, but we're talking like 3 days ago when this happened. I got a job in Alaska and I'm moving there next week. So that's my big news. Other than that the only thing that qualifies was passing the bar exam and that was in May.

wow! Alaska hey? That's a state everyone seems to be headed to recently...I have a couple friend who have obtained jobs there as of late. Alaska is the new black. Have fun and best of luck to you...what will you be doing there by the way?

Alaska is the new black, eh? I like that :)

I'll be clerking for a judge in Anchorage. Should be pretty interesting. I'm pretty excited about it. Only downside is I don't know anybody there but I'll just have to make do.
