The biggest thing that has occured in my life is this: I packed up my bags and moved from Oklahoma City to Seattle, WA and I'm much better off for it.
I'm actually living in the Seattle metro area. I'll be moving into Seattle, the Ballard neighborhood to be exact, in about a year and a half (after my girlfriend gets out of school). Once I move into Seattle, I will finish some technical filmmaking classes, i.e. editing, lighting, etc. I will also pursue a partime job with one of the MANY MANY Landmark Theaters in Seattle as well as internships with one of several television stations.
So yeah, other than that, my year's been uneventful...
Oh wait...I also bought a brand new car...a 2003 Ford Focus that rocks very much.
But yeah...

well, since you asked, by far the most amazing of many many many amazing things that happened to me this year was that my band had our cd released by an awesome label, got some amazing press, and went on a five week tour of the entire u.s. in which i got to meet/see/experience tons of people/places/things that i never had met/seen/experienced before.
there were so many amazing movies i saw this year. so far the best one would have to have been lost in translation or the station agent. two unreal films that deal with various aspects of friendship in completely different ways.

I'll be clerking for a judge in Anchorage. Should be pretty interesting. I'm pretty excited about it. Only downside is I don't know anybody there but I'll just have to make do.
