[The camera flips on, Kio has it at arms length, sprawled on his stomach on the floor, the battery warning light flashing an angry red. The room is almost too dark to make anything in it out]
This is probably the last message I'll be able to send you... I'm not even sure you got any of the other ones. No one has come down for a while... darkness kind of throws off my ability to tell time but I'd say at least a day. I have a feeling they left.
[Kio shifts and the phone moves, going dark for a moment before focusing on Kio again. It's still dark but it appears he's now sitting up.]
I guess if you haven't come by now, you aren't coming at all. I don't know if it is because you can't find me or... or you just... aren't looking.
[The phone beeps, the video feed flickering momentarily]
You know I'm not one to be pessimistic in general... but under the circumstances... optimism is getting hard to come by.
The funny thing is, spending all this time down here, alone in the dark, it's given me a lot of time to think... And I'm starting to realize
