Went past a Hallmark story yesterday all decked out in red and valentines day decorations. It's that time of year again. Teena had her thing around Thanksgiving, I think this is my thing. Admittedly mine's not as tramautizing as hers was, but it's a real downer for me none the less ( Read more... )

Hm.

You know that even if Maelor did change and fall in love with somebody, he wouldn't rub your face in it, knowing how you feel about him. He would definitely tell you, I think, that shows how much you mean to him as a friend.

Why should he all of a sudden stop caring in the least about how you feel? Just because he's not head-over-heels in love with you doesn't mean that he doesn't care.

And I do know how Valentines day tends to be awful, it's that way for a lot of people. It's just a day that I generally sort of just overlook...See, if I don't have any expectations, it's not hard to fall short of them. The way I look at it, it's not a good day to be admitting sudden revelations about feelings to anybody (that's always a hit and miss, chancy sort of thing)...If you have a girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife, you do something nice for them to remind them of how much you love them. If you don't, then it's a good day to give things to your friends, showing how much you love them (in a platonic way, of course).

I just had some bad some bad experinces on the day. Like a friend telling me that he had fallen in love.

And I know that he still cares about me, it's just that he's the only single guy that I'm friends with right now so it seemed like he'd be the perfect target, the way my luck has been going. Even if it is highly unlikely.

As for expectations, I didn't have any either, but patterns are patterns.

Yes, patterns are patterns. If you don't do anything to change them, though, they'll just keep repeating themselves. Communication about your feelings helps a lot ( ... )
