Fox is thinking about doing a US version of Torchwood..... *headdesk*

Of course on the good side I'm off today and while flipping thru the channels I discovered that MTV is apparently showing eps of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Well if it's on Fox, it will get canceled right away so what's the point?

If Fox does what I expect they'll do to it it'll need to be canceled . LOL

I think the article said RTD is supposed to be involved but if there's no Jack/JB then I'm really not interested. Of course if they went the Torchwood US route and made it kind of a spin-off it might have a chance, but I'm not holding my breath. It just never seems that Brit shows translate well to being remade in the US.

I could see it working if it was more of a spin-off, aka another Torchwood office in the US, with different characters but the same premise. Of course it probably wouldn't be as dark, or as gay, as the BBC.

Though, really, I'm not sure I'd want to see JB on a US Torchwood because they would want to tone him down and he's great as he is. It would be the equivalent of castrating him. Only, you know, in relation to tv.

It's too bad though, because I think if treated correctly it could be awesome.
