Cloverfield
After months of obsessing and trying to find out what the monster is in Cloverfield, it was finally leaked, and I think my entire flist should see it. Also, some discussion.
OH MY GOD!!!!!
Okay, but in the unlikely event that it's not that, apparently it's one of these two pictures (or a mixture of both). The first one is from someone who saw the movie at one of the college screenings this week, and the second one is supposedly concept art. Both look similar to each other to an extent, and seem to match up with the recent descriptions. Particularly the puffy red glands on the cheeks, and the jaws. The "concept art", if real, looks like a really early version, because in the latest interview they were talking about the eyes and how they wanted you to be able to see the whites in them to express the confusion the monster feels during its venture to NYC.
And finally, there's this little number. Apparently sometime ago, we were told by the producers to look at the poster for a hidden clue, and someone got the idea to mirror the poster got that as a result. It's very convincing, and the face seems to match up with the rough sketch the viewer made. Then again, it might just be everyone looking too hard for something that isn't there, or is just a coincidence, ala the 9/11 images on dollar bills.
