Is there any way to get to the data on a drive when the computer starts saying that the drive is not formatted? Any way at all ( Read more... )

If all you did was trip over the cord I'm sure the data is still there. I don't know how to get at it, but I'm sure it can be done. Worst case scenario is you have to pay a data recovery place to save it for you.

Pretty much what Spark said. You might be able to get to it with a Linux live cd - but worst case is a data recovery payment.

*nod* JJ's trying to help me with software fixes atm, so I have my fingers crossed. It sucks, because I'm about to be quite broke so I don't know if I can afford to pay a data recovery place. >.<
